Ryanair has announced two new bases in Sardinia in Alghero and Cagliari with routes commencing in March 2009. Eight domestic and eleven international routes are being created including Manchester and Edinburgh to Cagliari in the south of the island.
The addition of these low cost flights from the UK to Sardinia come shortly after Jet2.com announced a new service from Manchester to Olbia in the North-East of the Sardinia.
To celebrate the launch of its new Sardinian services, Ryanair is offering 1 million £5 (all inclusive) seats for travel in November, December and January on www.Ryanair.com until midnight Thursday 23rd October. The new services to Sardinia do not commence until March 2009 however.
Villas, apartments, houses, residences and hotels in Sardinia can be booked on an accommodation only basis through Sardinian Places to enable holidaymakers to take full advantage of the low cost airlines servicing the island.
