The 17th International Jazz Festival of Saint-Louis (Saint-Louis Jazz) will be held between 28th and 31st May 2009 in the Senegalese city of Saint-Louis, in the north of the country.
The festival is said to be the most important jazz festival in Africa but in recent years its reputation has suffered due to organisational problems. This year the organisers, the Saint-Louis Jazz Association, insists things will be better than ever thanks to the involvement of professionals.
