04 March 2009
Visitors to the International Food & Drink Event, held at ExCel in London between 15th and 18th March 2009, will be able to sample the unique flavours of Corsica. The Corsican trade association (Syndicat des Professionnels de la Transformation Agro-alimentaire de Corse) has a stand to showcase the island’s best produce.
The Corsica (SPTAC) stand can be found at N5030/3 in the Walk the World section of IFE 2009 and the exhibitors will be looking for distributors in the UK and Ireland. Exhibitors on the stand include:
- Biscuiteries d’Afa – typically Corsican biscuits made from chestnut flour and almonds. (www.biscuiterie-afa.com)
- Brasserie Pietra: A family-run brewery near Bastia making traditional beers from chestnuts or wild herbs which are available in Waitrose. (www.brasseriepietra.com)
- Corsica Gastronomia produces a wide range of Corsican specialities including nougat, terrines, jam and ready meals. (www.corsicagastronomia.com)
