Senegal is out of the African Nations Championship after losing in a penalty shoot-out in yesterday’s semi-final. The match in Bouake (Ivory Coast) ended 1-1, the extra time was goalless forcing the teams to go to penalties to decide the outcome. Ghana eventually won 7-6 with substitute Kwadwo Poku scoring the winning goal.
Senegal will now meet Zambia in the third place playoffs on Saturday in Abidjan and Ghana will play DR Congo in Sunday’s final.
