Passenger air traffic at Cape Verde airports is up by 5.6% year on year in the first half of 2010, according to Cape Verdean weekly newspaper A Semana. The total number of passengers passing through the airports was 726,279 in the first half of the year.
The largest number of passengers passed through Sal’s airport (254,674) and the airport with the second largest number of passengers was Praia on the island of Santiago. The majority of flights travelled to/from Portugal with the United Kingdom in second place with 54,545 passengers in the first six months of this year.
