At the start of 2010 The Gambia Experience’s School Development Fund was re-launched with the aim of raising £8000 during the year. Thanks to a number of fundraising events by UK staff, donations from holidaymakers in The Gambia and contributions from the company, the Fund is close to reaching its target.
The total currently stands at £7018.84 and there are still a few outstanding donations to be added - a member of our team, who would rather stay anonymous, has recently given up smoking and has raised more than £90; customer donations in The Gambia during December are yet to be counted and there is over £150 from our UK office tuck shop still to add to the Fund. We’re hopeful we can reach the target with a little help!
