Travel Consultant

Serenity Holidays is an independent tour operator based in Fareham, Hampshire.

As a result of ongoing growth we are looking to recruit extra Travel Consultants for our lively sales team. Your primary responsibility will be to sell holidays specific to our customers’ requirements and deliver excellent sales and the highest levels of customer service via telephone, email and webchat.

Sales Team Leader

Additionally, we are looking to recruit an extra Team Leader for our lively sales department. Your primary responsibility will be leading a team of travel consultants selling a variety of destinations in a hands-on role.

What’s does the role entail?

  • You will be leading a small team spending approximately 50% of your time selling holidays yourself and 50% coaching and mentoring your team
  • You will regularly travel to our destinations in Goa, Cape Verde and The Gambia, along with the islands of Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily and sell the experience
  • You will ensure the team deliver excellent sales and the highest levels of customer service via telephone, email, and webchat.
  • You will be rewarded with a good salary and an uncapped commission scheme.

It is a full time position including one day at the weekend on a rota basis and offers a competitive target driven salary, company pension and excellent travel concessions.

Italian Speaking Product Manager

This position reports directly to the Commercial Manager and involves day to day management of the products in Sardinia and Sicily. The Product Manager has, in line with company objectives and targets, responsibility for the product, from concept, contracting, set–up, organisation, management and its ultimate growth potential and profitability.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Profit Responsibility for the Italian products in Sardinia and Sicily.
  • Maintain key relationships with hoteliers, suppliers and Tourist Boards.
  • Negotiate and monitor commercial agreements and special offers with key accommodation and supplier partners.
  • Develop and enhance the product offering for growth opportunities.
  • Organise and co-ordinate competitor activity, pricing and positioning.
  • Define the Strategic direction of the Product with key focus and objectives
  • Instigate commercially attractive offers via trade partners or direct channels with close liaison with Marketing department.
  • Manage the efficient running of all product requirements within the company including website, brochure and back office system.
  • Produce ongoing accurate reporting of the product performance.
  • Provide the support function for all product and sales related enquiries.

Skills Required for the Role

  • Fluent Italian language (written and spoken)
  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in a similar product/commercial role
  • Excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and able to define and focus on specific goals
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
  • ‘Can do attitude’ and ability to work under pressure

Salary will be relative to experience.
